What expect­a­tions do you have of umati, what do you expect from the partnership?

umati plays an import­ant role as a com­mu­nic­a­tion infra­struc­ture in the man­u­fac­tur­ing industry, which is indis­pens­able for real­iz­a­tion of smart fact­ory. We hope that our injec­tion mould­ing machine will be com­pat­ible with umati, which will increase oppor­tun­it­ies to sup­port a wider range of cus­tom­ers and con­trib­ute to fur­ther pro­mo­tion of Industry 4.0.

What advant­ages does umati offer your com­pany and your customers?

When umati becomes one of the most com­mon inter­face stand­ards on a glob­al level in the man­u­fac­tur­ing industry in the future, we believe that our injec­tion mold­ing machines with that tech­no­logy will be able to sat­is­fy more customers.

How do you eval­u­ate the expan­sion of the umati ini­ti­at­ive to the entire mech­an­ic­al engin­eer­ing industry?

We wel­come it and look for­ward to see­ing more new chal­lenges by umati in the future.

About Toyo Machinery & Met­al Co., Ltd

Since its found­ing in 1925, Toyo Machinery & Met­al, a spe­cial­ized Injec­tion mold­ing machinery maker headquartered in Hyogo, Japan, has been aim­ing for “Cus­tom­ers’ Value Up” to increase the product value of cus­tom­ers with the desire to “treas­ure cus­tom­ers and devel­op togeth­er with them”. About 800 staffs work togeth­er to respond to the glob­al mar­ket with in-house pro­duc­tion sys­tem con­sist­ent with pro­cure­ment, pro­cessing and assembly. As for R&D, we have been improv­ing our products with innov­at­ive ideas and meth­ods, and in 1985 we developed all-elec­tric Injec­tion mould­ing machine ahead of the industry. With the elec­tri­fic­a­tion and energy-sav­ing tech­no­lo­gies cul­tiv­ated over many years, and flex­ib­il­ity, we respond to the increas­ingly soph­ist­ic­ated and diver­si­fied needs of our customers.
