TOS VARNSDORF A.S is now part of the umati community

•What expectations do you have of umati, what do you expect from the partnership?

We expect to be able have better access to information regarding universal communication interface between production machines and other equipment, accessories. This is important for us, as we also need to have our machines ready for connection (under universal communication interface) to other parts of production systems.

•What advantages does umati offer your company and your customers?

Umati is according our opinion a leading community, which unify communication interfaces in the area of production machines. And because our  customers come from various industry sectors, we need to be able  to solve majority of their demands, concerning machines and equipment connections.

•How do you evaluate the expansion of the umati initiative to the entire mechanical engineering industry?

I evaluate the expansion of Umati as positive. Because as I mentioned above, our customer come from various sectors, and we must be able to solve almost all their demands concerning connection between machines and other equipment. Especially in the area of data connection, because our opinion is, that only fast and direct datas haring can lead to increase of productivity in production processes.
