How do you assess the expansion of the umati initiative to the entire mechanical engineering sector?
The umati initiative is a great step forward to standardize the interface for extensive machine and process data collection. End-users usually have to maintain a complex manufacturing environment by operating machine tools from different brands with different controls. umati will be the game changer and will make the difference for an overall shop-floor implementation of Industry 4.0 solutions.
