Laserline is now part of the umati community
What expectations do you have of umati, what do you expect from the partnership?
We hope that through umati, the communication standards for machine and control systems will become increasingly widespread in the industry. By partnering and collaborating with umati, we are confident that Laserline will stay at the cutting edge of technology, enabling us to serve our customers in the best possible way.
What advantages does umati offer your company and your customers?
For Laserline, and especially for the users of our laser systems, standardized machine-to-machine interfaces offer significant advantages. By joining umati, we hope to benefit from the widespread adoption and use of interface standards as umati promotes them across the entire machinery and plant engineering sector. The new interface standard through the OPC UA Companion Specification for Laser Systems is particularly beneficial for us and, most importantly, for our customers.
How do you evaluate the expansion of the umati initiative to the entire mechanical engineering industry?
Laserline views the expansion of interface standards in machinery and plant engineering very positively, as this will lead to greater adoption and acceptance of communication standards among our end users.
