We are con­vinced that OPC UA and umati sim­pli­fy the imple­ment­a­tion of auto­ma­tion pro­jects and enable SMEs in par­tic­u­lar to focus on their core competencies.

What advant­ages does umati offer your com­pany and your customers?

Our goal is to work togeth­er with the umati com­munity to accel­er­ate the intro­duc­tion of OPC UA in com­pan­ies and thus increase their com­pet­it­ive­ness. That is why we are pleased to be a mem­ber of umati and, togeth­er with the net­work part­ners, to ensure that our cus­tom­ers can eas­ily provide or pro­cess data from machines.

About FVA

FVA GmbH is a joint ven­ture of FVA (Forschungsver­ein­i­gung Antrieb­s­tech­nik e.V.) and VDMA Ser­vices GmbH with­in VDMA (Verb­and Deutscher Maschinen- und Anla­gen­bau e.V.). Foun­ded in 2010, FVA GmbH works hand in hand with top Ger­man research and the lead­ing com­pan­ies in drive tech­no­logy on the act­ive trans­fer of FVA research res­ults into indus­tri­al practice.

The ser­vices offered range from the man­u­fac­turer-neut­ral sim­u­la­tion soft­ware FVA-Work­bench and vari­ous inter­op­er­ab­il­ity approaches (e.g. OPC UA) to inter­na­tion­al con­gresses and sem­inars on drive tech­no­logy. Based on 50 years of research activ­it­ies, the pion­eer­ing products and ser­vices enable innov­at­ive devel­op­ment pro­cesses for an industry-wide lead.
