FELDER KG is now part of the umati community

What expectations do you have of umati, what do you expect from the partnership?

Connectivity plays a big role for us as a machine manufacturer for woodworking. With UMATI, many manufacturers speak a similar language and we can integrate our machines more easily into the existing machinery of our customers.

What advantages does umati offer your company and your customers?

Through standardisation, interfaces between machines and/or IT systems can be implemented more quickly and thus more cost-effectively. Customers with an interest in networking can get a quick overview of the partners in the UMATI network for the selection of their machines and systems.
The OT and IT world is growing closer together and the many advantages of this can ensure a more efficient and stable production process.

How do you evaluate the expansion of the umati initiative to the entire mechanical engineering industry?

Woodworking trades and industry are taking rapid steps into the future of networking. Through the support of UMATI, under the umbrella of the VDW, this process can be implemented more quickly in Europe, but also internationally, than linking various proprietary interfaces of each individual manufacturer.
