umati has new partner Empress Software Japan, Inc.

What expect­a­tions do you have of umati, what do you expect from the partnership? 

We look for­ward to pro­mot­ing OPC UA widely in Japan with this part­ner­ship.  We believe that umati show­case is an excel­lent entry point to intro­duce OPC UA to machinery man­u­fac­tur­ers.  It is very simple to use.  We believe that Japan­ese man­u­fac­tur­ers can use OPC UA eas­ily if they start OPC UA using umati.  Moreover, umati has huge oppor­tun­it­ies for extend­ing com­pan­ion specs.  We are not only an OPC UA SDK vendor but also a mem­ber of the tech­nic­al com­mit­tee of OPC Found­a­tion Japan.  People often think that OPC UA has com­plic­ated spe­cific­a­tions.  We strongly believe that umati will be the breakthrough.

What advant­ages does umati offer your com­pany and your customers? 

See­ing is believ­ing.  Visu­al­iz­a­tion of cloud data trans­mit­ted by OPC UA will not be under­stood unless we exper­i­ence it.  umati is the easi­est way to exper­i­ence visualization.

How do you eval­u­ate the expan­sion of the umati ini­ti­at­ive to the entire mech­an­ic­al engin­eer­ing industry? 

When the umati ini­ti­at­ive becomes more pre­val­ent in fact­ory indus­tri­al fields, engin­eers will have more oppor­tun­it­ies to learn OPC UA.  As a res­ult, the num­ber of OPC UA users will increase in Japan, so the OPC UA mar­ket will expand.
