What expect­a­tions do you have of umati, what do you expect from the partnership?

“Umati facil­it­ates the stand­ard­iz­a­tion of con­nectiv­ity in the machinery industry, which is of highest import­ance. We decided to part­ner with Umati so we can, togeth­er with all mem­bers, act­ively pro­mote and imple­ment the umati stand­ard in products and solu­tions which will guar­an­tee inter­op­er­ab­il­ity in the field and in IT-infrastructures”

What advant­ages does umati offer your com­pany and your customers?

“As soft­ware ser­vices pro­vider with expert­ise in OPC UA, we see umati as an act­ive com­munity that pro­motes and imple­ments a stand­ard that will sim­pli­fy and accel­er­ate con­nectiv­ity between com­pon­ents, machines and sys­tems and with their cor­res­pond­ing IT-infra­struc­tures. By imple­ment­ing this stand­ard, our cus­tom­ers will be able to reduce their costs by facil­it­at­ing install­a­tion, com­mis­sion­ing and operation”

How do you eval­u­ate the expan­sion of the umati ini­ti­at­ive to the entire mech­an­ic­al engin­eer­ing industry?

“Umati bases on a huge amount of work that has been done in the back­ground with experts in their spe­cif­ic indus­tries. This is Umati’s mis­sion to sup­port and accel­er­ate this know-how trans­fer through its com­munity and activ­it­ies around the Com­pan­ion Spe­cific­a­tions, default require­ments and qual­ity assur­ance. Also, Umati will allow an inter­na­tion­al adop­tion of the stand­ard, which is key to success.”
