What expect­a­tions do you have of umati, what do you expect from the partnership? 

As a Umati part­ner, we anti­cip­ate long-term inter­op­er­ab­il­ity of our soft­ware and seam­less net­work­ing of our solu­tions with machines and IT sys­tems world­wide. This part­ner­ship allows us to act­ively con­trib­ute to the devel­op­ment of open stand­ards for machine com­mu­nic­a­tion and to share our expert­ise in the advance­ment of future-proof technologies.

What advant­ages does umati offer your com­pany and your cus­tom­ers? 

“By util­iz­ing Umati-com­pli­ant inter­faces, our cus­tom­ers’ machines can be net­worked in a more effi­cient and straight­for­ward man­ner. The part­ner­ship also provides access to a glob­al net­work of industry part­ners that facil­it­ates dia­logue and innov­a­tion. Togeth­er, we can con­tin­ue to advance cross-man­u­fac­turer net­work­ing with­in the man­u­fac­tur­ing industry and estab­lish new stand­ards for the smart fact­ory of the future.”

How do you eval­u­ate the expan­sion of the umati ini­ti­at­ive to the entire mech­an­ic­al engin­eer­ing industry? 

This would rep­res­ent a sig­ni­fic­ant advance­ment for the industry. It encour­ages stand­ard­iz­a­tion and estab­lishes a com­mon found­a­tion for net­work­ing machines and sys­tems across diverse man­u­fac­tur­ers and applic­a­tion areas. This will stream­line the pro­cess of digit­al­iz­ing pro­duc­tion for com­pan­ies and facil­it­ate the seam­less integ­ra­tion of their machines into a net­worked pro­duc­tion environment.
