umati has new partner Adaept Engineering GmbH

Adaept Engineering  is now part of the umati community

What expectations do you have of umati, what do you expect from the partnership?

As a Umati partner, we anticipate long-term interoperability of our software and seamless networking of our solutions with machines and IT systems worldwide. This partnership allows us to actively contribute to the development of open standards for machine communication and to share our expertise in the advancement of future-proof technologies.

Dr.-Ing. Arne Wall, Founder & Managing Director, Adaept Engineering GmbH

What advantages does umati offer your company and your customers?

“By utilizing Umati-compliant interfaces, our customers’ machines can be networked in a more efficient and straightforward manner. The partnership also provides access to a global network of industry partners that facilitates dialogue and innovation. Together, we can continue to advance cross-manufacturer networking within the manufacturing industry and establish new standards for the smart factory of the future.”

M.Sc. Fabian Hölzke, Founder & Managing Director, Adaept Engineering GmbH

How do you evaluate the expansion of the umati initiative to the entire mechanical engineering industry?

This would represent a significant advancement for the industry. It encourages standardization and establishes a common foundation for networking machines and systems across diverse manufacturers and application areas. This will streamline the process of digitalizing production for companies and facilitate the seamless integration of their machines into a networked production environment.

About Adaept Engineering GmbH

At Adaept Engineering, we support device and machine manufacturers in the integration of modern communication interfaces. As a spin-off of the University of Rostock, we are at the forefront of research and development of reliable and standardized data transmission. Our customers benefit from a proven code base and secure code developed in accordance with MISRA C:2023.

Since 2017, we have been actively engaged with VDMA standardization committees, playing a pivotal role in the development of the OPC UA CS for cranes & hoists and robotics. Leveraging our expertise, we enhance our customers’ devices, propelling them to the next level of connectivity.
