umati has new partner Collectu

Collectu is now part of the umati community

What expectations do you have of umati, what do you expect from the partnership?

Above all, we see strategic opportunities in the partnership with umati. Umati promises us standardized machine communication. This standardization will make the integration of different machine manufacturers into customer-specific IT systems much easier, faster and more secure — a clear advantage for us and our customers.

What advantages does umati offer your company and your customers?

For our company, umati means reduced integration costs and future-proof solutions. For our customers, this means genuine “plug-and-produce” integration — saving time, money and complexity.

How do you evaluate the expansion of the umati initiative to the entire mechanical engineering sector?

We see the expansion of umati to additional areas as a milestone. This means that umati is developing from a standard for machine tools to a universal machine language for the entire production. For us, this means cross-industry scalability and flexibility.

About Collectu

Collectu is an innovative tech start-up from Stuttgart which develops the open source Collectu Core and operates the Collectu Hub. Together, they form a modular and open no-code platform based on Python.

With Collectu, users can design individual workflows: from data collection to automated data processing and the use of AI-supported agents to interactive dashboards. These workflows can be seamlessly developed, tested and rolled out according to modern DevOps principles.

Our aim is to enable companies to implement their digital processes themselves quickly, flexibly and without in-depth programming knowledge.
