Nexon Data is now part of the umati community
What do you expect from your partnership with umati?
We see umati as a key initiative to promote openness and standardization in industrial connectivity. Our goal is to actively support and benefit from a shared language that makes systems integration simpler and more scalable. Especially as we expand our IoT activities across different industrial sectors, being part of the umati network gives us the opportunity to stay aligned with best practices and contribute to a global ecosystem.
How does your company, or your customers, benefit from umati?
umati’s commitment to interoperability enables us to build smarter and more future-ready systems for our clients. Many of our projects — particularly in water, wastewater, and utilities — involve integrating a variety of devices and data sources. umati helps reduce the complexity and unlocks faster implementation. Our customers benefit from smoother deployments and a stronger foundation for digital growth.
How do you evaluate the expansion of the umati initiative to the entire mechanical engineering industry?
We’re excited to see umati gaining traction beyond Germany, helping companies across Europe and globally to adopt common standards. As we continue conversations with device and hardware manufacturers in the IoT space, this kind of harmonized framework is increasingly valuable. We believe umati will play a central role in the future of machine communication across industries.
